The climate crisis is often framed as a simple race against time—we, as a society, have the solutions we need to stop raising global carbon levels (and start lowering them), it’s just a race against the clock to implement them before the planet changes irrevocably.
And while at a society level that’s true, there’s still a great need—and opportunity—for innovation at the individual business level. Because while a technology may exist, how your business capitalizes on that technology to fuel further growth (and reduce your firm’s climate impact) needs to be decided.
The Climate Innovator focuses on this implementation level: How should CEOs, product leaders, innovators and sustainability professionals think about climate innovation as a way to grow their business?
A few times a week I’ll be publishing what I’m learning from experts in climate, sustainability and innovation and showing how businesses are taking advantage of the opportunity to incorporate new technologies into their business.
And be clear—this is an opportunity. Smart business leaders are already using climate-friendly technologies to lower their costs, differentiate their products, open new businesses, define new markets, create a competitive advantage and grow their businesses.
Will your business be one of them?
I hope so! And I hope the Climate Innovator will be part of your journey!
